Berg+Schmidt Performance Chemicals Strengthens Focus Under New Company Structure
Effective September 1, 2025, Berg+Schmidt Performance Chemicals is now operating under the umbrella of Berg+Schmidt Solutions GmbH & Co. KG. This strategic restructuring allows for more agile decision-making, clearer customer focus, and stronger alignment with the needs of industrial clients.
The new legal structure includes the business units Care Ingredients and Performance Chemicals, while the Animal Nutrition division has been spun off into a fully independent entity: Berg+Schmidt Animal Nutrition GmbH & Co. KG, managed by Dirk Westphal.
"Our change of name is just one part of a larger strategic realignment," explains Tim Sprenger, Managing Director of Berg+Schmidt Solutions. "We are creating leaner structures that will enable us to respond more quickly to market demands and focus more closely on our customers. Our goal is to be a source of inspiration and innovation, providing solutions that strengthen our customers' competitiveness today and in the future.”
Berg + Schmidt relies on a global network of production partners, intelligent warehouse logistics and consistently sustainable product concepts. "Our responsibility does not end with product delivery. We want to actively support our customers in their transformation towards greater sustainability - with concrete solutions and measurable added value," emphasizes Sprenger. The company places a particular focus on the implementation of regulatory requirements such as the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the Supply Chain Sustainability Act (LkSG) and the transparent calculation of product carbon footprints (PCF). “These topics are a central component of our strategic responsibility along the entire value chain,” Sprenger continues.
With this new organizational setup, Berg+Schmidt reaffirms its transformation into a globally connected, solution-focused chemical partner with local presence, technical depth, and a clear commitment to responsible value creation.
