Like fatty acids, fatty alcohols consist of long hydrocarbon chains with an alcohol group at the end. This structure also lends fatty alcohols special properties – one of which is their emulsifying capacity. This makes them ideal building blocks for the production of emulsifiers and tensides. Emulsifiers are crucial for the stabilisation of water-oil mixtures, while tensides in detergents are used to dissolve any dirt.

We source our fatty alcohols from our long-standing partner VVF Ltd. based in Mumbai. VVF used to produce vegetable ghee in the early years and entered the oleochemical business in 1971.
