BergaSom Sun 75H
Phospholipids are very popular in natural cosmetic products because of their multifunctional properties. Due to their amphiphilic structure, they can be used in emulsions, but also to produce liposomes. Lecithin, or rather the fractions of phosphatidylcholine it contains, has two special functions in cosmetic formulations. Firstly, the hydrogenated and therefore more oxidation-stable variants form lamellar structures, so-called dermo-membrane structures, which are suitable as natural o/w or w/o emulsifiers. On the other hand, the lamellar structures provide caring sensory properties and protect the skin barrier in a natural way. BergaSom Sun 75 H is one example from the BergaSom range for the possible use of phospholipids as a natural and very well skin-compatible emulsifier.
