Solubilizers & Surfactants

Surfactants play a special role in the field of skin and body care. In the case of emulsions, surfactants such as emulsifiers are responsible for kinetically stably combining two immiscible components such as water and oil for a limited period of time. However, if a surfactant is used for cleaning purposes, such as in shower gels, liquid soaps, bubble baths, or cleansing milk, different properties are required. BergaSoft surfactants are characterized by their good skin compatibility and ready biodegradability, which is why they are also used in natural cosmetic products.

Their alkyl polyglucosides are particularly gentle to the skin while still providing good cleansing performance. Furthermore, due to their structure as non-ionic surfactants, they are well suited as co-surfactants or solubilizers for the incorporation of small amounts of lipophilic substances.
