GlyAcid® 99 HP


For more than 40 years, glycolic acid has been predominately produced either by the carbonylation of formaldehyde or with glycolonitrile as a starting material. Both processes leave residual traces of formaldehyde in the finished commercial product. Glycolic acid supplied by CrossChem does not use formaldehyde, while delivering a high-purity glycolic acid for today’s personal care formulations. When used as mechanical peeling agent in skin products, it will efficiently support the natural desquamation process and keratolysis leading to an increased cell turnover, hence a smooth, radiant and glowy skin tone. The efficacy strongly depends on the use concentration in relation to the formulation’s pH value. GlyAcid® 99 HP is supplied in crystaline form.
