Stabilizing Agents
A Firm Grip on Emulsions: Substances That Ensure Stability
To produce stable cosmetic formulations and products, formulators often require other stabilizing agents or consistency agents in addition to emulsifiers. Fatty acids such as stearic acid are particularly suitable here. However, other substances such as fats or waxes can also increase the viscosity of the oil phase and thus help to stabilize the emulsion.
