Celebrations at the in-cosmetics in Paris 2024

Our Berg+Schmidt Care Ingredients team successfully presented the new BergaSun sun protection range at in-cosmetics in Paris. The innovation was highly praised by the trade audience, as it offers the possibility of adding essential UV filters to various skin care products, thus making a significant contribution to skin health.

Annika Groenick, Product Manager at B+S, explained: "With the BergaSun range, we offer all the necessary ingredients for a balanced oil phase in modern skin care formulations. Our UV filters can be easily integrated into a wide range of products. Nowadays, sun protection is a year-round issue.

Excessive exposure to the sun can cause significant damage to the skin, the body's largest organ. UV radiation is a major cause of skin cancer and promotes the breakdown of collagen, which can lead to wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. Modern skin care products contain UV filters to protect against UV rays.

What else to explore

At the Sensory Bar, visitors had the opportunity to try different formulations with UV filters, such as a light day cream with SPF 20, like our Everyday Light Defense, or a facial fluid with SPF 50, the Facial Fluid Power Protection. Formulations for two other new products were also presented: BergaCare FG Gel and BergaMuls.

Kristin Köhler held a technical seminar on BergaCare FG Gel, an innovative oil thickener launched in January. BergaCare FG Gel was also presented in the Innovation Zone and was awarded "Top Innovation" by the trade fair. At the BSB Innovation Awards ceremony on Tuesday evening, BergaCare FG Gel was awarded second prize in the cosmetics category. And BergaMuls ET2 also won second place in the Natural Products segment. Congratulations on this success!
