Isotridecyl stearate, also known as the glycerin ester of caprylic and capric acid, is an organic chemical compound from the group of isotridecyl esters. Isotridecyl stearate is used in industrial lubricants, metalworking fluids and hydraulic fluids. Its lubricating properties make it suitable for these applications. It serves as a coalescing agent in waterborne paints, helping to form a film during drying.
